Welcome to Rantville!
Rantville is based on Antville, an open source project aimed to the development of an "easy to maintain and use" weblog hosting system.

Please keep in mind that this rantville server is "experimental". I have no experience with the database (written in java) or the integrated webserver (also written in java). The database is not backed up, so if anything goes wrong... got it?

The first purpose of rantville is to provide friends, family and me with a weblog system. Since nobody listens to what I say, I might as well write it into a weblog that nobody reads ;-)
The second purpose is to experiment with the underlying technolgy, the Helma Object Publisher. This is just amazing stuff, all my respect to the people who wrote this!
