Man of Aran Soundtracking :: En Masse & Lizer M
Man of Aran (1934) is a fictional documentary film by Robert J. Flaherty
portraying the life on the Aran Islands off the western coast of Ireland. It portrays characters who live in premodern conditions and their hardships, documenting their daily routines such as fishing off high cliffs, farming potatoes on the almost barren soil, and hunting for huge basking sharks to win their liver oil for lamps. En Masse (Weitweitweg Productions/Freizeit!) and Lizer M (Primitive Studios/Freizeit!) will create a new soundtrack to this stunning documentary live and on the spot on Thursday, 03/12/09 at the Lebemann+Hirn, Vienna 6.
